That program eases you into fasting by converting your body from a carbohydrate burning machine into a fat burning machine by gradually changing your diet. There are people that could really benefit from fasting. If you have type 2 diabetes fasting is one way to get your blood sugars under control and get off your medications. Concept of Fasting
A third of the world at one time or another has fasted. Catholics for Lent, Muslims for Ramadan, and Buddhists. Fasting allows your body to reset many mechanisms that are messed up from the Standard American Diet. Yes, it is hard to do , but you can ease into with a structured program. Execution of a Fast
Easy. Just don’t eat. The reality of it is you will feel hungry. That passes after day 2. The benefit of being in ketosis is that you don’t get that same hunger that you do when you are a carb burning machine. That is why the 22 Day Weight Loss Program tries to ease you into ketosis before your first fast. But people do this all the time so if you want to try it, just do it.

It is priceless. For something that costs nothing and the benefits it gives your body it truly is priceless. If you know what autophagy is , fasting is the best way to jump-start this. How to know if you are in ketosis
Ketosis is the state of being where your body is functioning off of ketones. Despite what your are being told, carbohydrates are not an essential macronutrient. Your brain actually functions better on ketones than it does on carbs. When you are first making your diet changes you can check for ketones in your urine. Ketostix are cheap and you can get them at Walmart. After a couple of months your body stops releasing the ketones in your urine and you have to change to either breath or blood. My ketones at the start of my 3 day fast were around 2.2 and went up to 4.6 by the third day. When I check my glucose I am usually between 50 and 80. So even though I was drinking cowboy coffee and doing bone broth I increased my state of ketosis(fat burning mode). I usually get in one exercise session during my fast. I see no decrease in strength and my endurance is actually better now that I do not rely on Carbs. The meter I use is the one you see below. The testing strips are 5 dollars a piece, so not cheap.
