Loveland Medical Clinic Keto diet coffee
I have previously done a video about the cowboy coffee. This coffee is basically all fat and helps you with suppressing appetite. The previous coffee had coconut oil and heavy whipping cream. This version uses MCT oil(medium chain triglyceride) and organic unsweetened butter. Here is the recipe.
1 cup coffee from organic beans
2 tablespoons unsweetened organic butter
1 tablespoon MCT oil. I use
couple drops of stevia for sweetness
Blend it all up together
serves one and has 326 calories, all fat
Is this effective ?
I will give you myself as an example. I am keto adapted . This means I am in a state of ketosis most of the time. I have discovered that my body will switch easily back and forth between burning glucose and ketones. The process to become like this took around 4-6 weeks.
My last meal was yesterday at 3pm which consisted of 4 eggs, cream cheese, and salsa. I munched on some nuts afterward and had a glass of wine , but that was it for the night. I got up this morning at 4am and did my regular morning routine which is a cold glass of water, a 30 minute walk, and then a cowboy coffee. At 1030 I made another cowboy coffee and checked my blood levels. My glucose was 93 and my ketones were 1.3. These are perfect numbers for me. Today I will eat two meals , the first around 2pm and the second around 7pm. I aim for 70% fat, 20 % protein, and the rest carbs.
