Coffee boosts energy and brain function
One of the most popular drinks in the world is coffee. Coffee tastes so good and it is great for your health. Coffee has essential nutrients like B vitamins, potassium, and manganese. The antioxidants in coffee can reduce your risk of chronic degenerative diseases. Since this is a weight loss program it is worthy to note that caffeine is an appetite suppressant. One study showed that the more coffee people drank the lower their mortality risk. Our coffee is not the typical coffee you find in coffee shops that are selling sweetened coffee drinks that contain added sugar and hundreds of calories. A Starbucks Grande Caramel Frappuccino has 420 calories and over 16.5 teaspoons (66 grams) of sugar. Our coffee has no sugar and 200 calories of pure, healthy fat. Other health benefits of coffee include:
- Faster thinking: Bioflavonoids in coffee intensify neuronal firing in the brain so thoughts come more quickly and you will remember more.
- A better mood: A couple of cups of coffee a day can improve your mood and sense of alertness.

I use coffee for all the above reasons and when I do my fasting mimicking diet. I eat one meal a day so during the rest of the day I make this coffee.
Ingredients for keto coffee
- 2 cups of coffee
- 2 teaspoons ghee
- 2 teaspoons raw cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 raw egg
- 8 drops stevia
- splash of cinnamon
Mix all the ingredient in a bowl. I like to use an immersion blender so it really gets mixed up. If I am traveling I use MCT oil instead of the egg and put all the ingredients into a travel mug and shake it up. It is important that the coffee gets blended because it breaks the fat down into small micelles which attach to the caffeine. This causes an even distribution of energy and prevents the jitters.
