Myers Cocktail Vitamin IV Infusion and Weight Loss

Using IV vitamin  infusions has been around for decades. Some people claim it helps  everything from arthritis to the common cold. I am not so sure about that, but I do know it helps people that are vitamin deficient.  Dr. John Myers, a physician from Maryland, started using vitamin infusions in his patients which is where the name  Myers cocktail  comes from.  It actually had been around before, but Dr Myers popularized it.  Quite a few  medical providers  believe that many  ailments in  people are caused by diet and  vitamin deficiencies. Vitamin IV infusion was actually created to help  people with gut and absorption  problems such as colitis and celiac disease. Since the  IV solution bypasses the gut and goes directly into the blood these people can get the vitamin B’s and vitamin C’s that they need and their bodies perform better because of it.

Why I Use the Myers Cocktail

I get a Myers IV vitamin infusion once a month. I can feel an  increase in energy and have less muscle aches when I get  the Myers cocktail. Even though I supplement regularly with magnesium I feel the magnesium in the Myers help diminish muscle cramps for me. I am a firm believer in intermittent fasting and up to three day fasts so I will do a Myers Cocktail during a fast since I am not getting any nutrients during that period.  Our Myers Cocktail comes from Partell Pharmacy in Las Vegas,  Nevada and contains Magnesium , Vitamin C, and Vitamins B1,B2,B3,B5, B6, and B12.  I mix this  with a liter of normal saline because everyone in Colorado is mildly dehydrated. I get one of these bags  every month. While we do not do Vitamin C infusion the Riordin Clinic in Kansas is famous for using high dose Vitamin C in cancer treatment.
