Three things affecting your belly and weight loss program
There are some big things that could cause your body to store fat. One of our main goals of our clinic is to help people get to their ideal body weight. I get 3 common questions about weight loss. Question one is how juicing can effectively help you lose weight? Question two is how does quality of sleep affect weight ? And the last question is how to crush those toxic cravings that are holding your body back from loving the food that loves your body. So, I’m going to talk about those three things.
The Standard American Diet does not work and that’s why most people have the physical body that they have. Going from that to your first green juice drink can’t help but be an improvement. . Your body starts to consume those phytonutrients, those micronutrients, it’s like nature’s perfect multivitamins, and it changes peoples lives. Some people start to have energy all day long. Most people drink coffee and by the time two o’ clock goes around they’re ready to take a nap because their adrenals have spiked and they feel like they’re getting tired and they need to take a nap in the afternoon. When you have a green drink, it’s this constant, consistent energy throughout the entire day .
Some people go from one to two juices a day and all of a sudden notice that they do not eat as much. Because they juice they are not eating the Doritos, Cheetos, ice cream, and the enriched flour bread that is destroying your body. Processed foods lack the vitamins and minerals that you actually need. So if you start juicing once a day or try a juice cleanse for three to five days it will improve your health. I look at juicing as a good way to jump start a healthy weight loss program. This will also help fix your gut which is another cause of weight gain. People have poor gut health in this country from a lack of pre and probiotics which vegetables contain. So with juicing not only are you getting the nutrients, you’re actually healing your gut and internal processes.
Number two, sleep. Fifty years ago there was no such thing as organic or non-organic. Everything was organic and the soil was was loaded with nutrients. Western America today people are not getting enough magnesium which affects sleep. This is one reason I take a magnesium supplement daily. Lack of sleep affects your cortisol levels which can cause you to gain weight. So when you get proper sleep all your hormones start to return back to normal again. Your cortisol levels start to go down and your body starts to heal and repair itself. Sleep is so important to mental and physical health. That is why I always ask my patients about the quality of their sleep.
How does eating healthy help with cravings? You get toxic taste buds when you have sugar from carbs, sugar from dairy, and sugar from processed foods. When you eat like that your body feels satisfied for a moment but then it goes on to crave more sugar and dairy because it is addictive. Even for me now if I eat a dessert( or bread) the next day I want a little dessert again and then before you know it, you’re on this habit of having something that’s sweet three, four times a day. The problem is not the sweetness, the big problem is mixing it with fatty stuff as well cause it spikes your insulin up. When you spike your insulin up the door to your fat cells is wide open. This is why a high fat , moderate protein , low carb diet works so well. You control your insulin spikes. If you are a diabetic you can even get off your medications.

So let’s review the three topics again. Number one, juicing can be an effective way to start a weight loss program. It’s all about nutrients and how it is a massive improvement over the Standard American Diet. Number two, sleep. Without proper sleep your health will never be at its best. I try to get eight to nine hours of sleep at night. Also don’t forget to take your magnesium. Number three, eating healthy allows you to crush those toxic taste buds and stop craving the food that doesn’t love your body. Once you start to give your body what it needs, it starts to feel fulfilled and your body will stop craving all the junk you used to eat.
