What makes this program different from other weight loss programs?I believe that people can lose weight by themselves, but sometimes people need a little coaching to be successful. That is what this program does. I created this program after seeing thousands of patients and I know what works and what doesn’t. Our program combines methods from several different weight loss philosophies and is very successful in getting people to lose weight and become healthier. I believe all weight loss programs work in the short term. The problem is that the majority at the 6 month point fail. You have to change the way you live if you want to change your health. 22 Day ProgramHere is the program in a nutshell. I ease you first into a non-processed foods diet, then to an Atkins type diet, and finally to a ketogenic diet. When you are on a ketogenic diet you will then be able to change when you eat as opposed to the quantity you eat. That gives you body the chance to reset your hormones. High insulin and insulin resistance is the main driver of chronic disease. Don’t let anyone tell you that losing weight fast is not a good idea. It turns out that it is easier for people and if they can change their habits it is sustainable.
Carbohydrate burner to Fat burnerThe overall aim of the program is to convert your body from relying on glucose for fuel to relying on fat for fuel. As long as you have insulin working in your body the body will use glucose and not fats. The only essential macro-nutrients are proteins and fat. Your body can actually make the glucose it needs from those. If you are eating carbohydrates all the time the body is naturally lazy and will use glucose as its preferred fuel. Carbohydrates elevate insulin levels which turns off fat burning for fuel use. You have to reteach your body how to burn fat. Once there you can return to eating carbohydrates.
22 Day Weight Loss ProgramThe program is done in 3 phases to gently transition you into a fat burning machine from a glucose machine. This works for weight loss and for endurance athletes who want to perform better. Once you get through the first 22 Days you go into a maintenance phase. For those of you who have a lot of weight to lose you will still be in a weight loss program. When you have a lot of extra weight you tend to have visceral fat as well which is the worst kind. When there is fat in your liver and pancreas they stop communicating with each other. By getting into a ketogenic state you can start draining some of the fat off those organs. Our program has a membership site which walks you through each phase. You will receive daily email reminders of your current meal plan and exercise.
22 Day Weight Loss Program PlansWeight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. I might even go as high as 90/10. I do have an exercise plan included, but I do not push it until you have gotten past the first phase. Lots of exercise initially is actually counterproductive. Doing lots of cardio makes you hungry. I personally do high intensity interval training twice a week for 30 minutes. I walk daily for 30 minutes which I consider part of my life and not exercise. For a 52 year old man I am in great shape. Look at my blog posts on the Tour de Wyoming and Ride the Rockies to see what a fat adapted person can do. My athletic performance actually increased once I became keto adapted.
FastingThe word fasting scares people. We try to gently ease people into intermittent fasting on this program. You do not need to do this, but I cycle in and out of fasting and I am never hungry. Fasting is the quickest way to reverse diabetes and fatty liver. I was more “hangry=hungry + angry” when I was a predominantly carbohydrate living person. I am an endurance athlete and you would think with all the exercise I would have been extremely healthy. Unfortunately the large amount of carbs I was eating was driving me toward diabetes. Changing my diet and meal timing completely reversed my diabetes. You will live longer and be healthier with the occasional intermittent fasting which we teach in this program.
DiabetesWe run a completely separate program for type II diabetes to reverse their disease. If you have had the disease 10 years or less you chance of getting off all your meds is very good. Not only can you get off your diabetes meds but probably your high blood pressure meds as well.
KetosisDuring the last phase we transition you into ketosis. If not, you will still lose weight, but not have all the benefits of ketosis. Everyone’s carbohydrate tolerance is different. You could be in ketosis while eating the same thing I am and I could be still burning glucose. Humans are amazing. We figure out your tolerance point. This works amazingly for type 2 diabetics. I have been able to get people off all of their medications. I do not handle type 1 diabetics as this is a more complicated situation and needs very close monitoring. If you are pregnant, under the age of 18, or are suffering from malnutrition you should not be on a diet program.

Online ProgramWe have a variety of weight loss program levels. Our basic program(online) includes the membership site and access to a Facebook group for questions and support. The cost for that program is 99 dollars.You can learn more and sign up for that program here.
6 Month Intensive Dietary Management ProgramThis is our most popular program. This includes 4 provider visits along with access to the membership. Emails are sent out daily with reminders during the induction phase. This program is more individualized with face to face provider appointments. First visit is the longest as this involves an initial intake. Three liver ultrasounds will be done during this program. I have found a surprisingly high number of my clients have fatty liver. By doing the ultrasound I can track the regression of the disease which occurs when your get your insulin levels down. This happens between 3 and 6 months usually. 12 Month Program
If your BMI is over 35 this is the program for you. Calculate your BMI here.This level includes everything mentioned above but lasts 12 months. Eight provider visits spaced out appropriately to monitor your progress. At the end of this program you will be able to continue losing weight and know exactly what it takes to maintain your weight. Concierge Level Weight Loss PlanOur last level is our concierge level. This program is completely tailored to you. There are a variety of option to include lodging for two weeks and all meals cooked for you. Other options include 3-4 day visits with teaching,fasting, and all meals provided with lodging. These are individually tailored programs. When you leave here you have a year’s worth of visits remaining. This program must be booked 3-6 months in advance and is very limited. The cost of this program is 4999 dollars. Ekg’s, ultrasound, and all physicals are included. Labs are done by Quest or Lab Corp and typically are covered by your insurance.
