Myers Vitamin IV Infusion
Our most popular IV therapy tends to be the Myers Cocktail. This IV drip is named after the doctor who invented it. This particular vitamin IV drip is a blend of normal saline, magnesium, B vitamins, and vitamin C. Alan Gaby, MD, performed a 2002 study and found that the Myer’s cocktail could be used to treat a variety of conditions. Some successfully treated conditions were acute asthma attacks, migraines, fatigue, fibromyalgia, muscle spasms, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinus infections, seasonal allergies, cardiovascular disease, and more. So if you have a sick teenager and you can not get into your pediatrician and do not want to go to the ER give us a call. IV drips may be a convenient choice for busy people. We do not deal with any insurance but our cost is usually less than your copay.
IV Therapy Visit Procedure
The IV drip procedure is simple. You give us a call and I do a phone triage. If your doctor’s office referred you to us then I will just get a quick medical history and head over to your place. Parents need to sign a consent to treat for anyone under the age of 18. We do not see anyone under 12 years of age. Vitamin drips require an IV in place to deliver the vitamins, minerals, and medications to your bloodstream. People do feel a little bit cold when they are getting the IV. This is normal and helps lower your fever if you have one. If any prescriptions need to be written or school notes needed they will be done at the end of the visit. We do accept all major credit cards.
